GTA IV v1.01

As some of you already know — dpixel8 and I have been playing GTA4 on ps3 just about every day since it’s release. Just thought it was interesting that rockstar has already put an update out for the game, just over a week after the game’s release. Sounds like somebody fucked up on testing doesn’t it?
There’s tons of info out there on the update, here’s one, which includes reports of not all freezes being take care of with the patch.

Creepy or Cool?

Alli is a new weight loss drug from GlaxoSmithKline, one of America’s largest drug manufacturers.
alli™ is the only FDA approved, over-the-counter weight loss product. But it’s more than just a pill. It’s an innovative weight loss program. The pill works by preventing your body from absorbing some of the fat you eat. And the program includes an individually tailored, online action plan to help you lose weight safely and gradually.
However, there might just be one or two “minor” side effects like “oily spotting, loose stools, and more frequent stools that may be hard to control.” What does that mean? Find out what these side effects mean in lay mans terms. Trust me, whether you’re a fatty or not, it’s worth reading.

stream content from mac to ps3

HERE is a neat little app that allows you to stream your digital content from your Apple desktop or notebook to the PS3 that’s hiding out in your living room.
Named MediaLink, it integrates with iTunes and iPhoto ’08 to stream, copy, or use remote play to show content on your PSP handheld.

“Russia plans to build an orbital plant for the production of spacecraft (link to sketchy Google translation of the Russian original) that are too big to build planetside, or are just too bulky to fire into orbit once built. Presumably these are the ships we would fly to the Moon and Mars. Plans seem to be rather sparse at the moment, with the tentative construction date set for 2020, after the ISS is scheduled for decommissioning.”
Am I the only one who things this isn’t a great idea? Not to say we can do anything about it..
Nazi’s were cool, right?

A good story
Once in a while a great story like this comes around and brings back a tad bit of faith in our society. I’d never question buying a Bungie game again.

because it ‘just works’
video games = porno
It looks like they’re back at it again. Lawmakers probably really never rest on this subject.
Matter is harmful to minors if it is obscene or, if taken as a whole, it… depicts violence in a manner patently offensive to prevailing standards in the adult community, so as to appeal predominantly to the morbid interest in violence of minors; is patently contrary to prevailing standards of adults in the county where the offense was committed… and lacks serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value for minors.

microsoft are boneheads
Sometimes it’s just hard to understand some of the decisions made by technology companies. This is definitely one of those times. Apparently Microsoft thinks it’s too good to support Blu-Ray on the XBox 360. I guess it also believes that digital delivery of video content is an acceptable substitution for playing a movie from an optical disc (although, Apple believes the same with its AppleTV product).
“Xbox is not currently in talks with Sony or the Blu-ray Association to integrate Blu-ray into the Xbox experience,” Greenberg told Reuters in an interview.

The Crossroads Guitar Festival was a music festival and benefit concert first held in 2004 and again in 2007. The festival benefited Eric Clapton‘s Crossroads Centre located in Antigua. The concert was held at the Cotton Bowl stadium of Dallas, Texas, from June 4, 2004, to June 6, 2004. A two-disc DVD containing 250 minutes of footage of the 2004 concert was released in the same year.

padded lamp posts
According to a recent report, human beings are becoming so incredibly stupid that they require cushioned lamppost bases so that when they run into them they don’t mess up their idiotic faces

even virii are better on a mac
This is really cool. Brilliant use of the accelerometer in the Mac notebooks.
In the beginning were harmless computer viruses. Viruses born out of the wit of early computer adopters, viruses whose sole purpose was to surprise and amuse. A non-destructive form of artificial life.
