irresponsible banks, gullible borrowers

All we hear these days is whining from reckless home borrowers and their banks.
But did you know that renters are 32 percent of American households? And that homes in foreclosure are less than 2 percent?
So why is Congress rushing to bailout high-flying borrowers and their lenders with our tax dollars?

I know that more than just myself are concerned with this government bailout of banks and borrowers. I’m no economist, but I found angryrenter.com had some very interesting information. It may be somewhat biased or extreme, but it makes its point clear and gets people talking and thinking.

War photographer

Since dp8 is busy making ee pee es files, I’ll update today for him.

Free film: war photographer

This film follows the work of photojournalist James Nachtwey. I posted this last week in A&P and I thought i’d see if anyone in here is interested. Although the content is pretty “heavy” stuff, it’s a great film – especially for anyone interested in photojournalism.

“Consumer Advocacy” is dpixel8′s Middle Name

Just ran across an article that interested me, but didn’t hold my attention long enough to read it in its entirety. I thought to myself, “this would be and article and reaction posting better suited to Dpixel8″. And here it is. With tangy, bite-size snippet.

“There is little oversight of a system retailers call “civil recovery,” created by special laws passed in all 50 states. With no proof of theft, the retailers demand money — often $200 but sometimes far more — and promise to avoid suing if it is paid quickly. Laws vary by state, but in general, retailers can demand these sums even if the item at issue was worth far less and was quickly recovered and put back on the shelf. “

Hilarious, surprising coming from MSNBC

I would never vote for Hillary as I feel we would be in serious trouble if she was voted President, but this is a fucking riot. Many props to Chris Matthews.
