John Daly isn’t going to be able to enjoy himself quite the same way this year at the US Open, which starts today.

irresponsible banks, gullible borrowers

All we hear these days is whining from reckless home borrowers and their banks.
But did you know that renters are 32 percent of American households? And that homes in foreclosure are less than 2 percent?
So why is Congress rushing to bailout high-flying borrowers and their lenders with our tax dollars?

I know that more than just myself are concerned with this government bailout of banks and borrowers. I’m no economist, but I found angryrenter.com had some very interesting information. It may be somewhat biased or extreme, but it makes its point clear and gets people talking and thinking.

“disable” a passport’s rfid chip

passport_hammer

Attention, wearers of the tinfoil hat! If you’ve got one of the newfangled US passports that has an RFID chip embedded in it, you could be giving up your personal info to anyone within a couple feet (assuming they have an RFID activator/scanner).

Here’s a simple fix that anyone can follow!

desperation

With a recession either in progress on the way and/or a depression looming, people are getting desperate. Gold is now going for $1,000/oz, gas is $3.30 a gallon, and at the same time people are burning their houses down to try and get out of the nightmare that is a forclosure.

Gold price, 10yr

This is going to get real interesting, real fast…

Women in jeans ‘cannot be raped’

Italy’s highest court has ruled that a woman wearing jeans cannot be raped.

The Supreme Court of Appeal in Rome on Wednesday overturned a rape conviction, saying that the supposed victim must have agreed to sex because her jeans could not have been removed without her consent.

The American Drug War

Heard about this today from some Jewish guy I know and thought it would be something worth sharing. As the title implies, it’s about the US government and the “war” on drugs. I”m always down with documentaries on how the government is behind things, so I figured this would be worth sharing. It’s on Showtime and OnDemand.

Check this out for details:

On the topic of Government conspiracy shit, check out Who Killed the Electric Car and regardless of whether you like Michael Moore or not, check out Sicko for an interesting look at the American health care system. Obviously both are skewed just like I’m sure American Drug War is, but it does make you think a bit to the shit you hear on the news.

Don’t be a fucking sheep.

Smoke em if you got em

I’d completely be in on this if I still smoked. Too bad it’s just a matter of time before democrazy rears its ugly head in and changes the laws. “fight stupid laws with stupid loopholes”

Smoking ban workaround catches on at bars across state

Having patrons become “actors” when entire bar is turned into a “stage” started as a one-night experiment 2 weeks ago, but now it’s becoming a way around state law.

…oh and the image above is from this article regarding the “e-cigarette”
